With a name like Persephone, you can imagine I’ve spent my lifetime explaining it. At first, I’d often cringe when asked about its exact meaning in Greek mythology, but with age and much self-discovery, I’ve come to appreciate the deep impact the myth of the Goddess of Spring has had on my life. Caught between the myth of Persephone (about birth, death and rebirth) and my own personal reality forced me to find my “true self.” What once was an inconvenience became my inspiration and the basis of my consulting work today.

Through years of business school, working with entrepreneurs as a career and life coach, and my own personal unfolding (described below), I’ve met many people stuck in an “untrue life.” Whether trying to achieve another’s expectation, coping with unexpected circumstances, or creating their own ego-driven “myth,” they neglect what is truly important within and spend years living unfulfilled, both personally and professionally.

After many years in business, I found myself searching for something more. I realized my career, business and life coaching sessions were much more than quick-fix solutions for my clients. They were deep insights into my client’s lives—true connections, extremely spiritual, sacred moments... I realized that helping people “connect” to their life’s vision and purpose and expand upon the gifts they already possessed was the part of my work that I loved most. I pursued that love and discovered a calling that would allow me to take my work deeper.

In 2007, I was officially ordained as a Minister at Riverside Church in New York City through the One Sprit Interfaith Seminary. The ministry training supported the life affirming spiritual principles common to all the major religions. My studies concentrated on the great wisdom teachings, both ancient and modern, and also on spiritual practice and ritual. In addition to my extensive coaching experience, these powerful teachings give me guidance and supportive tools to draw from and help my clients in their journey for a more authentic life.

So today, I offer my clients a safe place to explore what’s below the surface, revive what brings them joy and help them infuse it into their everyday. In my New Season consulting sessions, we work to help you reconnect with your true self, the self that makes you happiest and feel most alive. Through my deep listening, support, guidance and an abundance of professional resources, you will overcome personal obstacles, and find real “permission” to take a chance and unfold the “you” you really want to be…in your career and your life.
